Abstract
Background and purpose: Innovation, as the ability to use and implement creative ideas to solve problems and use opportunities, has a key role in improving organizational performance. Based on this, in the current research, in order to increase innovation, the key factors of motivating the employees of Kerman Regional Water Company were identified.
 Methodology: This applied research was conducted with a mixed approach. In the qualitative part, the theme analysis strategy was used and in the quantitative part, the survey strategy was used. The statistical population in the qualitative part included the company's experts who were selected by a purposeful judgment method, and in the quantitative part it included all the employees of the Kerman Regional Water Company, which numbered 245 employees were selected according to Cochran's formula as the sample size and simple random sampling method and semi-structured interviews were used in the qualitative part and questionnaires were used in the quantitative part. Data analysis was done in the qualitative part using open, axial and selective coding method and by Maxqda software and in the quantitative part with the help of regression analysis.
 Findings: After analysis, the research data were categorized into 10 main categories and 54 sub-categories. The analysis was done in the quantitative part using the process of network analysis (ANP) and the results were in order (management factors, legal factors, economic factors, structural factors, individual factors, cultural factors, socio-psychological factors, personality factors, factors educational and environmental factors) were prioritized. Also, the results of the linear regression test using SPSS software showed that there is a direct linear relationship between the motivation variable and employee innovation.
 Conclusion: Targeted investment in each of the motivational components of employees in the statistical community will cause their innovation to grow and flourish.
